AMYGDALA HIJACK (WOOS WOOS SWALLOW) is an audio piece and part of SOFT TISSUE, a compilation of voice and sound works.
Compositions for solo voice and machines, Soft Tissue combines music, text and sound composition, moving through shifting registers of speech like a stream-of-consciousness. Based on diaristic writing, research into neurology, pop culture references and extended vocal techniques, it explores inner language, mind games and emotional states. As a performance, it unfolds as a continuous interplay of singing, electronics and spoken language, moving between scripted material and improvisation. Originally composed for recording, Soft Tissue will premiere in its live version at XMTR audio arts festival in September 2026.
